Learn the skill of practicing no harm to ourselves off and on the yoga mat

Without a clear methodology of how to strategically practice not harming ourselves in a yoga space, yoga students and teachers will continue to miss opportunities to facilitate experiences that empower personal agency and spiritual liberation.

Here’s how we do that:

Step 1: Learn what the ancient yogis taught us about caring for ourselves through ancienthealing frameworks mentioned in the Yoga sutras like the Chakras, Koshas and Yamas andNiyamas

Step 2: Apply these healing frameworks align with current best practices in modern mental health and recovery approaches to care

Step 3: Create new self-care and professional practices that uphold trauma-informed ethics for ourselves and those in our care

Here’s how we build these skills in this course:

1) Build a personal self-care practice around the Koshas, Chakras and Yamas and Niyamas over the course of the 8 weeks

2) Create a system of trauma resources within an appropriate scope of practices that we can have on hand for ourselves and/or our client

3) A) Create a trauma-informed ethics protocol that you can use for business marketing

B) Create a list of trauma-informed ethics questions to ask your next yoga teacher or mental health practitioner
